Top 10 Greatest Years Ever
1. 2017
2017 was a common year of the Gregorian calendar that began on Sunday. It was also the 17th year of the third millennium, the 17th year of the 21st century, and the eighth year of the 2010s decade. 2017 was also designated as the 2017th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD).
One of my favorite years was this one. The heyday of funny YouTubers like Filthy Frank and iDubbbz was here. Trends such as dabbing, fidget spinners, and declaring that the word “lit” was cool persisted. Diss tunes were also popular in this year. This is something I miss.
For many people, this year has been an emotional roller coaster. However, we must not overlook the incredible events of this year. Along with new leaders and role models, we have witnessed the emergence of new breakthroughs and technologies. Numerous factors have contributed to this year’s greatness.
2017 is the best year ever because it’s jam-packed with fresh perspectives and innovations across the board, from science to politics to technology.
Well, the stock market is at an all-time high and, in part because of Donald Trump, the US and Israel have restored their diplomatic ties. We could have a good year! But we’ve only been here for 28 days. Cross your fingers!
2. 2010
2010 was a common year, the 2010th year according to Anno Domini/Common Era designations, that began on Friday in the Gregorian calendar. It is the first year of the 2010s decade and the tenth year of the third millennium and 21st century.
It was the most lovely year, filled with get-togethers and devoted friends, and there were no foolish societal notions that were propagated. Everyone was engaging and enjoyable. We saw a lot of advancements that year, such as the introduction of touch screens and stunning performances.
It was great because we had access to modern technology, such as powerful computers and cellphones, but our lives didn’t center on it, and people weren’t addicted to it. Most likely the greatest year of my life to date. Although 2012 is not far behind, this year was unique since both the world and the music were better.
Grew close to a girl I liked. That year, a lot of excellent music was released. I’m quite sure this is when Bin Laden was killed. Okay, at least for me, this year.
3. 2000
The Dragon Year. Specifically, it’s the Year of the Golden Dragon (look it up if you’re not familiar with that term). In addition, a new millennium has begun. Being born in this year makes me feel incredibly special. Everything went well in 2000 except from that. It was far superior to 1999.
Fantastic year. I could go on forever about leap years, the year of the dragon, the start of the millennium, the sole prosperous year of the 2000s, and so forth.
2000 was an incredible year to usher in the new millennium. The world did not end, pop culture continued to be decent, television series on PBS and my local stations were fantastic, and there were very few catastrophes compared to the years 2001, 2009, 2016, 1939, 1941, 1914, and many more. If only the succeeding years had been equally successful—particularly the late 2000s and the 2010s.
4. 2013
2013 was a common year that began on Tuesday in the Gregorian calendar. It was also the fourth year of the 2010s decade, the 13th year of the third millennium and the 21st century, and the 2013th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations.
Though it may not have been for you all, 2013 will always and without a doubt be the greatest year of my life. That year, there was a lot of anticipation surrounding the music, TV, and movies. To top it all off, I took a road trip from my house in Indiana across the entire West Coast! Absolutely!
Why is this year so hated by all? It was excellent, in my opinion. The world wasn’t doing too badly, and we had some great music. It was actually the final prosperous year before social media and cellphones took over and completely destroyed everything. I think it belongs higher on the list.
The terrible 2011 should be replaced by this year. There were many enjoyable things this year, including games, music, and books. Hang Em High by Dropkick Murphys is the only decent song I can recall from 2011, and even that wasn’t all that great. There are no good games that I can recall from 2011.
5. 2012
2012 (MMXII) was a leap year that began on Sunday in the Gregorian calendar. It was also the third year of the 2010s decade, the 12th year of the third millennium and the 21st century, and the 2012th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations.
This year was a pretty great year for me. I was nine years old at the time. Back then, YouTube seemed to be the perfect compromise between being too new and too old. I also remember a couple of incredibly popular songs towards the end of the year, such as Gangnam Style. Taking everything into account, it was one of my best years ever. It is rated nine out of ten.
Honestly, I had the best childhood from 2009 to 2012. There were no smartphones in the area. Music, movies, and cartoons were all still very good. Video games were great. Actually, kids were still playing outside instead of inside with electronics. That historical period was quite amazing! It’s just that these past few years haven’t been the same.
There was something so special about 2012—I’m not sure why. I simply cannot identify what it was. There was something unique about it, though.
6. 2011
The Gregorian calendar’s common year, 2011 (MMXI), began on Saturday. It was also the 2011th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations.
Obama put a stop to the Iraq War, hehe. Additionally, there were Moves like Jagger and One Direction’s ascent. But that year saw the invention of a despotic app, which I will never forget.
I will always be happy that I was born into and raised before this time. I had a great time growing up, enjoying every moment, and hanging out with my family and friends at school. TV shows, getting outside and exploring new locations, visiting family, and traveling a lot were all fantastic. This year’s music is really nostalgic, at least what I’ve heard of it. I’m not sure; 2011 was merely a significant event in my carefree, idyllic childhood.
2011 is the best year ever! Everything in 2011 was excellent for me, and it was a year that truly altered my life! Every day, I am grateful for what 2011 has done for me. The memories from 2011 will last a lifetime!
7. 2021
2021 (MMXXI) was a common year that began on Friday in the Gregorian calendar. It was the second year of 2020s, the 21st year of the 21st century, and the 21st year of the third millennium. Numerous significant events that were once slated for 2020 were moved to 2021.
Furthermore, a number of pandemic limitations from 2020 were loosened in 2021, which resulted in the reopening of numerous establishments, including schools, the beginning of people’s return to their regular lives, and the termination of mask mandates in some regions of the world.
Some people did not enjoy the epidemic, but I personally thought it was a great year since I could spend all day at home doing nothing.
Looking back, 2020 was the best year of the decade because of the relaxation of COVID limitations, the staging of Euro 2020 and the Tokyo Olympics 2020, and the continued peace in Ukraine. Despite the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan, Russia demonstrated its might along the Ukrainian border, and we lost Prince Philip and two prominent opponents of apartheid, Desmond Tutu and Frederik de Klerk.
In my opinion, this has exceeded 2020 in many ways. It was a pleasant semester because the coronavirus pandemic has somewhat subsided and I was able to drive throughout Southern Sweden!
8. 2007
2007 was a common year that began on Monday in the Gregorian calendar. It was also the eighth year of the 2000s decade, the seventh year of the third millennium and the 21st century, and the 2007th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations.
I remember 2007 and 2008 as being the most pleasant years. I practically cry every time I had flashbacks to those years. With my buddies, I had a great time outside. They have since vanished (drugs, disappearance, moving away, conversations with other persons). I hope someone develops a time machine that will allow us to travel back in time to 2007 and 2008.
That year, so many amazing video games were released! God of War 2, Metroid Prime 3, Halo 3, Mario Party 8, Modern Warfare, Team Fortress 2, Super Mario Galaxy, and a ton of other games!
the year of the most recent Doctor Who season, which is the third. My favorite year was this one because of the companion. I also think there weren’t any major world disasters.
9. 2015
2015 (MMXV) was a common year that began on Thursday in the Gregorian calendar. It was also the sixth year of the 2010s decade, the 15th year of the third millennium and the 21st century, and the 2015th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations.
I had a terrific year in 2015. My first-grade class is so clearly in my memory. There was a wonderful mix between using technology and spending time outside, and everything seemed so hopeful.
I understand why this year has caused so much hatred, what with all the bombs, shootings, and terrorism. The fact that our economy was doing fairly well was one of the positive aspects, though. It was also a successful year for certain songs, video games, animation, and motion pictures. Even the year 2000 has its share of positive and negative aspects.
It’s so good that I now consider it one of my hobbies to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
10. 2018
2018 was a common year that began on Monday in the Gregorian calendar. It was also the 9th year of the 2010s decade, the 18th year of the 21st century, and the 18th year of the 3rd millennium. It was also the 2018th year of the Common Era (CE).
2018 and the years that before it were a great year for America. The economy was expertly managed by President Trump, and everything in our nation was going as planned. During these years, I don’t recall experiencing anything unpleasant. It was the greatest year of my life—that is, until 2020, when Sleepy Joe became president.
Without this year, I would not be the person I am now because so many things changed and occurred as if they were unimportant!
The year 2018 was good. Everything was excellent. Then 2019 had to ruin everything, and 2020 started out well before losing steam in March.
