10. In both 1941 and 480 BC, the Battle of Thermopylae took place.

The Battle of Thermopylae was brought to the attention of millions of people who had never heard of it until the 2006 release of the film 300. Despite the comic book’s unbelievable fictionalization of the story, the film’s central premise is based on a real event. In the midst of the Greco-Persian War, a small Greek army under the leadership of King Leonidas of Sparta faced out against a Persian army that was far larger. Even though the Greeks came out on the losing end of the three-day fight, legend has it that their little force of just a few hundred slaughtered 20,000 Persians.

In 1941, Allied soldiers consisting of British, Australian, and New Zealanders fought against Nazis in a reenactment of the Battle of Thermopylae. It was Greece that the Germans were trying to attack.As the Allies withdrew, two brigades remained to hold off the Axis forces in the rear.

The artillery barrage forced the retreat of a Panzer division and an additional fighting group. Many German tanks were destroyed, even though the battle was far less dramatic than the original. The Germans suffered terrible casualties in Greece at the hands of an outnumbered Allied army that had local support. Their actions ensured that the Germans paid a heavy price for the advances they achieved, even though the Allies’ campaign in Greece was a failure and the Germans conquered Greece.

Vice President Aaron Burr shot and killed Alexander Hamilton on July 11, 1804. The fact that Burr did not become president was partly because of Hamilton’s schemes; the two men had a lengthy history of hostility. Near Weehawken, New Jersey, on the duels grounds, the men gathered after the challenge was issued.

Hamilton had a somber familiarity with the fight’s site because, three years prior, his own son had perished there while protecting his father’s honor in a duel. Needless to say, not effectively. Even the elder Hamilton’s combat with the same weapons ended in failure.

A man named George Eacker delivered a speech to Phillip Hamilton in 1801, and it was very critical of his father. Being 19 years old and a bit of a hothead, the younger Hamilton took issue to this. A duel was set when the men exchanged remarks. No matter how much advise Hamilton’s dad offered him about waiting for the first round of four to pass and not shooting until the other man had shot, it never came to fruition. The young man died the following day after being hit by Eacker.

8. In the same train car as Germany, Hitler forced France to surrender in World War I.

A historic callback makes this look less like a coincidence and more like a premeditated act of shame. The armistice that ended World War One was signed in a train carriage in France on November 11, 1918, by Allied Forces and Germany. Because the town had been so devastated by the war that it was no longer conceivable to hold the historic event there, it was moved to a train car.

Now fast forward to 1940, when the German war machine was ravaging Europe. Just as Hitler had forced Germany to sign an armistice a few years before, he had now captured France and presented them with a new one. On that particular day, he had the identical train car reserved. His goal was to exact vengeance on France for an insult he had suffered in the past.

7. The Same Mountain Was Crash Site of Two Separate Air India Flights 16 Years Ago

Estimating the total number of aircraft disasters is challenging, although it becomes somewhat more manageable when considering commercial passenger jet airliners. In 2017, that figure was little less than 2,000 for all time. When weighed against the total number of flights and incidents involving vehicles, that seems like a small number. It is even more astonishing that two flights from the same airline crashed into the same mountain, 16 years apart, given how safe air travel is and how rare crashes are.

In 1950, 58 people lost their lives in the first catastrophe that happened when an aeroplane slammed into the southwest slope of Mont Blanc. A Boeing 707 crashed at almost the same location in 1966, killing an extra 117 people, due to a misunderstanding with flight control.

6. Ryan Dunn, a member of the Jackass cast, died after flipping his car in the same spot.

Over the years, every member of the Jackass ensemble has subjected themselves to absurdly difficult situations. On top of everything else, they’ve been electrocuted, bitten by several dangerous creatures, beaten, shot, and exploded. It may have seemed silly, but that was just the point. Still, there was sorrow along the road, most notably with Ryan Dunn’s 2011 passing.

In his inebriated state, Dunn took control of his vehicle. He crashed into a tree at a speed of 130 mph. A production assistant by the name of Zachary Hartwell also perished with him.

After the fact, Dunn’s best buddy Bam Margera brought up the fact that he had a sneaking suspicion that Dunn would be involved in an accident at some point, and that they had actually survived an accident just five years before Dunn passed away. In that occasion, Margera claims that he and his friend were involved in an eight-car flip, but they managed to escape unharmed.

5. Two Women in Greece Were Buried Alive in Separate Incidents That Occurred a Year Apart

Most people don’t give much thought to the possibility of being buried alive until they hear about it, and then the thought stays with them always. While this may not happen very often now, it has happened before—perhaps even too frequently—in the area surrounding Peraia, Greece.

Initially, a 45-year-old lady was the subject of the 2014 report. After spending some time in a coma and passing away in a private hospital, she was laid to rest in a cemetery in the town of Peraia. Following the funeral, members of the community, especially children playing in the area, heard her cries for help, but they were unable to save her. Asphyxiation had taken her life.

It was later revealed that a 49-year-old woman who had undergone cancer treatment was buried as well, following doctors’ initial belief that she had passed away. After the funeral, someone heard her screams, which led to her exhumation—but by then, it was already too late. The cause of her death was determined to be cardiac arrest.

While it’s conceivable that the news outlets erred in reporting this as a single incidence due to a mix-up in information, the ages and other details are different enough to suggest that it was probably two distinct occurrences.

4. Bobby Farrell of Rasputin and Boney M. Passed Away in the Same City on the Same Date

Bobby Farrell’s voice is arguably more well-known than his name. The band Boney M, whose signature song was “Rasputin” from the disco era, featured him as lead vocalist. This song tells the story of the notorious Russian mystic who meets his tragic end after having an affair with the wrong woman.

For a long time, many people have speculated and lied about how Rasputin died—specifically, about the many methods he supposedly used, such as being shot, poisoned, drowned, and so on. Everyone is in agreement that he passed away in St. Petersburg on December 30th.

In 1916, Rasputin passed away. Now we jump ahead to December 30th, 2010, in St. Petersburg, Florida, where Bobby Farrell also passed away. He was complaining of not feeling well after his performance. In his hotel room, he passed away from heart failure.

Someone will always quip that there must be something in the water once you hear that two famous persons are from the same place. It could be a delightful coincidence that they went to the same school or lived in the same town. Along similar lines, you’ll see that a number of athletes went to the same schools. Learning they shared a similar place of birth is less common. Exactly the same town, hospital, and floor inside that facility.

2. Mama Cass and Keith Moon Two People Died at the Age of 32 in the Same Apartment Four Years Separately

The notorious 27 Club is only one example of the many strange and horrific conspiracies and coincidences that exist in the music industry. In addition to musicians passing away at the same age, there is another tragic coincidence between “Mama” Cass Elliot and Keith Moon, the drummer for The Who.

Cass Elliot was a guest at the London, England, flat of composer Harry Nillson on July 29, 1974. Even though Nillson rarely used it, he would let friends use it whenever they came to town. She passed away from heart failure at the age of 32 after collapsing in her apartment following two performances. Years of crash dieting were said to be the cause of her weak heart.

Keith Moon remained a tenant in the same flat for the subsequent four years. Reportedly, Nillson was so terrified of the curse that he was unwilling to even consider lending it out. Moon convinced him to do it.Additionally, he was 32 years old.

The same bed on which Cass had died was also where Moon’s corpse was discovered. The pharmaceutical medicine clomethiazole, which he was using to combat his drinking, had taken too much of him.

1. Pearl Harbor Underwent a Practice Attack Ten Years Prior to the Actual Attack

One of the most famous incidents in American history, Pearl Harbor has been taught in schools, written about in books, and reenacted on film many times. Nothing is often said about the fact that almost identical events occurred in the same location ten years before to the notorious incident, but for completely opposite motives.

The Second World War had not yet begun in February of 1932. However, America was ready for anything, with the First behind them and tensions rising globally. Issue #13 in the Fleet was overseen by Rear Admiral Henry Yarnell. A mock assault on Pearl Harbor by an opponent from Asia was the intended scenario of this military exercise.

Surprising the Americans, Yarnell launched an attack on the Pearl Harbor airstrip with 152 planes. In a move reminiscent of the Japanese surprise attacks, he launched his assault early Sunday morning. Never did the “Americans” see the plans coming because they expected a naval assault. To the US base, Yarnell’s soldiers threw flour bags, fake bombs, and trash. No American aircraft took to the skies.

The military determined that Yarnell’s efforts had proven nothing, even though the attack had been a practice run and had shown Pearl Harbor to be susceptible. They essentially accused him of cheating because he assaulted on a Sunday.

There were numerous parallels between Yarnell’s practice strike and the real assault on Pearl Harbor. A later justification that the attack was totally unexpected would exonerate military officials of responsibility. As a result, rumors started circulating that the United States had covered up the Japanese discovery of Yarnell’s false plot.
